Don’t ever lay your weapon down
the sword must be at hand
ready to fight against the foe
who’s stalking through the land

this sword of God is meant for war
it’s perfect in its cause
ready to divide asunder
enemies of the cross

each time this sword is used for good
righteousness shall prevail
these words of God return not void
they never ever fail

in warring for the cause of Christ
this sword so full of might
crusades against all wickedness
God’s Spirit leads the fight

since the enemy has no chance
prevailing against God
as mighty truth shall bring him down
underfoot he is trod

rise up you warriors of God
with glinting swords in hand
raise them high in tribute to Christ
be bold and take a stand

cry unto God to give you strength
endurance is the test
by serving God in every way
in giving Him your best
